Middle-earth is a vast continent with a long coastline in the west, gradually tapering off to the southeast. The shores of Middle-earth are washed by the Great Sea (ocean). To the north, the waters of the sea form the freezing gulf Forochel, which is surrounded by the chain of Blue Mountains, in the south - Belfalas, on whose shores lies Gondorian port Pelargir, further south - Umbar, the stronghold of corsairs. On the gulf of Lune stands the elven port city Grey Havens - the only one from which boats depart for Valinor. The rivers Isen, Brandywine and Anduin flow into the Great Sea...
